UWA Open Day 2024

Every year the UWA Open Day presents a fantastic opportunity to foster curiosity in the next batch of bright young minds and future engineers. This year was no different with Centre representatives manning a CEI:AgER display showing students and parents the possibilities of engineering innovation within Agriculture and Ecological Restoration. A few of the Centre’s favourite inventions and toys came along for the show, namely the Seed Flamer, the Weed Chipper, and the fully functional, app-controlled LEGO Bulldozer (a crowd pleaser with the kids and dads).

 It was a fun day meeting potential new students and discussing exciting projects happening within the Centre and opportunities at UWA. Many students and parents were interested to hear more about UWA’s double degree options which efficiently enable students to pursue two study areas and gain two full degree in a compressed timeframe. It was also a great opportunity to mingle alongside other UWA Engineering research groups producing excellent work.
